Good characters are what drive the story forward. We developed a new concept for a book and animated film in which we built an entire world originating from the Viking Age. We wanted him to be reminiscent of a Pixar character but with more realism, show more skin texture and be fully rigged to be animated without any creative constraints.
Synopsis: Erik, a whirlwind of energy with sun-bleached blonde hair and eyes that mirror the deep blue of the Kattegat, is a ten-year-old Viking who brings both chaos and laughter to the bustling village of Hvalfjord (Whale Fjord). While his heart overflows with bravery and a thirst for adventure, his impulsiveness and challenges focusing often land him in trouble. Misunderstood by his peers and elders as clumsy, Erik feels isolated as the only deaf boy in the village.
